Guess WHAT!!! 😍📣 Last night I soft-launched the first of a new series of talks called - you guessed it - Cheer Up Luv Talks! 💓🗯️🍬 Cheer Up Luv Talks is a new series focusing on empowering narratives from and exploring issues affecting women, girls and the queer community. To kick things off, I hosted the first panel of the series at @sohohouse White City, bringing together a group of BRILLIANT people who all contributed to an important project that I worked on throughout the summer. The conversation had last night was the culmination of 3 months worth of investigating, writing, interviewing and photography for the Glamour article I wrote: Inside the Music Industry’s Reckoning With Misogyny.✍️ On the panel, I was lucky enough to interview founder of We Are The Unheard @eve_horne , trailblazing artist, singer, poet and dancer @moonchildsanelly , singer and songwriter and @blacklivesinmusic Project Lead, @micasefia and @lucyalexxandra , the purpose editor of @glamouruk - all spearheading change in their industry, and all who have long called out the misogyny and discrimination within it! The panel focused on finding solutions, creating change and putting an end to misogyny in music once and for all. Thank you again everyone who came and supported - this is the first of a series of talks happening in different locations, with different experts, on different topics! So if you’d like to come to the next one - you can find out more about all the upcoming events by signing up to the newsletter via the link in bio 🔗 Thank you to my amazing manager @phiemckenzie and team at @creative.ally.talent Yasmin Connolly & Ailsa Inglis for making it happen 💛 What city should we come to next? 👀👀👀 #cheerupluvtalks
