It was so fun to get to record @solifewantsyoudead live with @kendallciesemier last week. And on the anniversary of the ADA no less! We had a conversation on disclosure, what it means to claim the word disability and what it means to be visible. What it means for one’s identity and how that’s unfolded in both our lives. It gave me a renewed sense of why we tell these stories, because it clicks people into the universal nature of being human and helps people feel seen and understood. And to sit with another liver transplant recipient in this conversation really grew my heart a few sizes. Closing out disability pride month by celebrating all our bodies in all their forms. Here’s to loving ourselves, a radical act which takes resolve, community and daily commitment (at least for me) Episode will be out next week✨
