B E L i E V i N G: 🙏🏽✨🫶🏽😭🎄 Story Time: Back in July I was invited to join @singharlem and the @mamafoundation in an effort to help continue the good work that the legendary @vyhigginsen and @ahmayaknoelle have been doing for the past 40 years! What humbling and life changing work it has been. To help cultivate and support the artistry, humanity and voices of the young people who are scholarshiped to train in the @mamamusicprogram!! The work is so expansive and truly cannot be captured or quantified in a single instagram caption - yet here I am attempting to, in some small way, share the gift that this organization is to world! I joined with the simple intention to serve and help amplify the work of providing a safe haven and musical home for young artist from around the world - right here in HARLEM, USA. I had no idea that I too would be blessed to continue finding and refining my own voice and artistry! The award winning SING HARLEM CHOIR has been such a gift to my life and musical journey. This past Wednesday at @sohohouse | @sohohousenyc I performed for the second time with the choir. ••• I have not done a great job of documenting my vocal/musical journey over the years - so I’m so thankful to all of my new friends and family who took footage of me performing “I believe in you and me”.
