Soho House Location

The phone call came from the the Art Director of @tatlermagazine to photograph the then notorious James Hewitt (the late Princess Diana’s lover) at a central London hotel. Unpacking my kit in the grand empty room I asked the AD whether the hotel knew who we were photographing . “No worries” said Stephen Reid. Cut to Hewitt’s car arriving as the hotel manager slams the door open and shouts “LEAVE NOW!”. This was Diana’s favourite hotel.. I run outside and convince Hewitt to wait in the cab whilst we sorted a new location as we have had a few “Technical problems”. “Just don’t tell my Editor! “ pleaded the AD as we drove into Soho in a sweat. . #photostory #jameshewitt #portraitphotography #princessdiana
