For my first *ever* meeting at Soho House, a stranger told me to quit my career in finance and commit to my dream of disrupting the fashion industry – “This isn’t just a side hustle, this is the future of fashion.” I scrolled 30mins back to find her first ever DM to me 6 years ago, along with memories through our first ever “Press Day”, COVID, US launch, her investment into @ByRotation, south of France hen and Cotswolds wedding… Dear All, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of my supper club series — By Invitation with Eshita Kabra. A play on my company’s name (and enough to create a distinction!), every month or so, I invite you to join my curated table of 12 guests over a conversation with a dear friend whom I admire and a three-course dinner at the elusive but very warm Soho Mews House. It’s been a dream to launch this series (with no other than this incredible venue); I’ve often found myself connecting brilliant minds with each other who have gone on to do wonderful things – and in-person has always been my modus operandi. Hosting and community-building are truly my passions. For our Co-Host Number 1, I am inviting my dear friend Florence van der Spek (@flovdspek) to share her story, and our journey together. It all goes back to my first ever meeting with Florence in July 2019, where she told me, a complete stranger, to leave my career in the industry to build the future of circular fashion. This dinner conversation would be relevant to those interested in the worlds of entrepreneurship, fashion and consumer brands, media and PR.
