Fri 10 Oct 2025 —— This was the ultimate pinch me moment as I sat down at Soho House to rewatch one of the most monumental movies of this year - @kpopdemonhuntersnetflix 💫 I’ve watched it on Netflix, I’ve even watched the sing-along version; I attended the theatrical sing-along release at Vue and now here I was attending a screening accompanied by an exclusive Q&A with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans. Despite the amount of times I see this, I keep noticing new things. I find myself deconstructing the themes emulated in this film - from Korean culture, to the Kpop fandom as well as Asian upbringing. Being able to sing each word off by heart, and still feeling emotional each time certain scenes arise, this film is a global phenomenon and the release was timed perfectly. The Q&A moderated by Sofia Jin unpacked the conceptual process, the casting as well as the directors’ thoughts on the success of the film.
