Meet the artist: Dënalisa Shijaku @denalisa.shijaku Born in Kosovo with Albanian roots and based in Berlin, Dënalisa’s practice reflects on identity, harmony, and cultural memory. A refugee to Germany in 1993, she draws from the melancholic yet hopeful music of her Albanian heritage, inspiring a vivid color palette and intuitive approach. Working primarily with acrylic and oil on natural canvas, as well as across sculpture, video installation, and photography, Dënalisa creates dreamlike pieces that connect personal histories with universal experiences. Her art often addresses displacement, women’s roles in patriarchal societies, and the search for belonging. For this edition of the BlueLobster Art Market, she will present Gun on Canvas (2025), Hand of an Artist, and Floating Borders (2024) — works that intertwine layered techniques and surreal imagery to question fragility, resilience, and freedom. 🗓️ Sunday, Sept 14 🕐 1:30–7PM 📍 Soho House Berlin 🎟️ RSVP via link in bio
