Went to Paris, got food poisoning, took 5 photos, lived through two strikes. That’s it. We had planned this trip for months, timed perfectly between our wedding anniversary and Hunter’s birthday. I imagined long walks, special dinners, and soaking in the magic of the city. Instead we got sick on the Eurostar and the next four days unravelled. Plans were cancelled, energy disappeared, and with River finding everything extra challenging it became a very different kind of trip. It wasn’t the week I pictured, but it was a reminder that life is rarely what you expect it to be. You can plan every detail and still be surprised. Sometimes the highlight ends up being the quiet moments, the laughter in between the chaos, or simply holding on to each other when everything else feels hard. Here’s to anniversaries that don’t go as planned, birthdays that look different than you hoped, and the truth that even when life derails you, you are still exactly where you are meant to be. #Paris #TravelFails #ParentLife #FoodPoisoningChronicles #LifeUnfiltered #MarriageAndChaos #TravelWithBaby #RealLifeTravel #UnexpectedAdventures #TravelNotTourism #PerfectlyImperfect #KeepItReal
