🍱 In December New York signed and passed the Restaurant Reservation Anti-Piracy Act. The legislation aims to crack down on the ‘black market’ for restaurant reservations where bots are sometimes used by third parties to create a resale market from online reservations. Just in time for Valentine’s day reservations. The bill prohibits third-party restaurant reservation services from arranging unauthorized reservations. This makes New York the first state in the country to “combat the trend of predatory software flooding the online restaurant reservation marketplace” a press release states. We already have legislation that prevents the use of bots to buy concert tickets. Now restaurant reservations. Will the time come where bots and resale prices are regulated in sneakers???? 🤔 👟⚖️
