This afternoon at Soho House was medicine in more ways than one. Each soul arrived with openness — ready to share, to receive, and to meet the moment with both vulnerability and courage. We began by grounding some core principles and practices of Taoism — the dance of yin and yang, the five elements, the rhythms of nature — before moving into a rich tea ceremony, where each guest received an individual diagnosis to better understand their current condition through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From there, we moved gently into a sound bath, where each person was also offered acupuncture tailored to their unique disposition. There was tenderness, and there was presence. Deepest gratitude to our practitioners, Nanjing Deng and James Pan, for holding the space with such clarity and integrity. Thank you to our friends and guests who came to receive this ancient medicine with open hearts. And to Soho House — thank you for welcoming us in.
