76 Dean Street

‘Dean House’ (38.1x50.8) Mixed media. This painting is inspired by Room 1 at @sohohouse Dean Street. Instead of showing the room as it really looks, I tried to capture how it felt to be there — the patterned teapot, flowers turning into red thread, a mirror that only reflects the tiled floor, and the golden keyring for the room at the centre. It’s not a literal interior, more like a dream of one, where the objects slip out of their usual roles and become fragments of memory. @sohohouse @sohohome #DeanStreet #Soho #londonpainting
