I have always been a Madonna fan, and because I am a nerd I also know that her song Vogue was inspired by the dance style voguing which actually was developed with poses that muses took in Vogue the magazine. That’s the reason I actually picked up my first issue of @vogueindia because I love Madonna and I am a nerd. I saw the first ever copy when it was launched and even bought it from my so called pocket money. Over the years I have lost that connection with Vogue, I read the occasional article but I have stopped seeing myself as a fashion person I guess. Enter @chandnikumarmehra who invites me to this fabulous event with Vogue and @bumble_india knowing that the single workaholic me needs to get out. It reminded me of that savage takedown by Miranda Priestly, “…that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry….”, so I guess I am a fashion girl. This was such a blast, such an interesting set of people and just the right vibe. Maybe I am ready to let my hair down and even learn a bit of voguing. Thank You Chandni for this evening 🌻
