Five months ago, I got accepted into the @creativefuturescollective x @sohohouse Mentorship Program in NYC. One day I’ll tell the back story to my acceptance but for now I am relishing in the gratitude that I feel to be able to experience this program and my lovely mentor, Bridget. We rarely talk about how crucial it is to have someone who has “been there done that” to show us the ropes and guide us towards our goals. Her cut throat, no nonsense aura kept me on my toes which I loved! Our dynamic was so reciprocal and it honestly makes me emotional because I prayed for a mentor for years. Delayed but not denied because she came into my life at the perfect time. Thank you Riji, Jai and Markie for cultivating something so special.
