I had the chance to briefly speak with Gloria Steinem—a moment that energised me and made its way into my book, The Vagina Business. Talking to her reminded me that the work of unearthing and telling women’s stories is part of a long, ongoing fight. Meeting her symbolises to me what it means for all of us to stand on the shoulders of those who paved the way before us. I’m grateful for that evening’s spark of energy.
