A wise woman wrote in my birthday card: “A good book is one with many chapters, so write one every month. Don’t worry about the waves; you need to ride them to write your book.” And oh, how the waves came… 27 started in the aftermath of an accident that nearly took my life, and broke me. But the journey back to myself turned out to be the most beautiful part of the year. I learned that life is always waiting to meet you where you are; if you show up. 27 was about feeling it all. So I sat through the silence, the laughter, the tears, the joy. And I learned that pain is just contrast; it helps you see the colors more clearly. I learned that being alone is not the same as being lonely. That my own company is not only enough, but deeply healing. That no one can love me the way I do. And no matter how in love I might be, I must never, ever abandon myself. I learned that the people who love and choose you for who you are can become your chosen family; and I’m grateful for mine. Above all, I learned it’s a privilege to be here. To be young. To be alive. To be healing. To laugh with your whole belly. To cry when it overflows. To walk into a new day with nothing but hope in your pocket. Chapter 27,thank you. For breaking me open. For rebuilding me stronger. For teaching me to ride the waves and write my own story. Here’s to 28, May it be softer, deeper, freer. May it be filled with light, presence, peace. And may I keep writing, one sacred chapter at a time.🥂❤️🔥 Xoxo, N
