Last month, the ever-magical @marikafrumes invited me to speak at a @myshapods event at Soho House. And immediately, I knew something was going to be different. I get asked to lead a room every few months — and honestly, it’s been one of the biggest sources of my own imposter syndrome. I’ve been a senior speechwriter, coaching countless women through their own fears and visibility edges, and yet — until now — I hadn’t fully dissolved my own. September was a threshold. Speaking to this room of powerful women, I felt every part of myself — strategist, storyteller, mother, mystic — all online and in sync. For the first time, I felt free on stage. Fully present. Holding the room from a place of groundedness, not performance. Thank you to everyone who came, and to the sister-tribe who celebrated with me when I breathlessly voicenoted “FINALLY” on my way home. My on-stage era just kicked into gear… and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Ps. Yes, this was a whole month ago. It honestly took a month to process this deeply enough that I could write today’s newsletter and make this post sure in what I really wanted to say. Pps. I wrote a longer take on what blocked and ultimately unlocked all this in my newsletter. Ppps. The best book to read if you want to kick off your path to on-stage freedom is Permission to Speak by @samarabay
